The beauty of the shadows cast by my sculpture is a striking and important element for me. Taking the step to capture the shadows on paper has become an important shift in my art practice. At this exciting crossroads, I continue to explore the relationship between my mediums.
My printmaking background influences my work across media. In my most recent pieces, I have been printing with black ink on my favorite hand made papers traditionally used for chine colle. Using etching, drypoint, monotype techniques, and paper lithography, I am printing my own imagery to use in my sculpture.
