Rickie Wolfe

Rickie Wolfe lives, works, and teaches in Seattle Washington where she has a studio practice in printmaking and sculpture.
She received her BFA from Cornish College of the Arts.
Wolfe teaches monoprint and collograph at Pratt Fine Arts Center.

Her training as a printmaker influences her artwork and her decisions across the mediums she employs. Wolfe currently works in metal sculpture incorporating print, paper, enamel on copper, and wire, and fibers.

Recently, her use of mixed materials caught the attention of a teaching- artist in Germany who discovered Wolfe’s artwork online. Discussions led to the use of her sculpture as a prompt for middle school students.
The project was to make use of everyday found objects and materials provided for the students to created their own pieces of sculpture. For the final component of the assignment, the students were instructed to work collaboratively on a large scale installation.

Wolfe is thrilled to have inspired teens and find a new artist friend to share influences and local artwork from their communities.
